As mentioned in the Membership Introductory Presentation, Range Safety Officers are required whenever range is open. Having consistent range hours will require multiple trained RSOs.
Therefore:
- Any red or white member that volunteers to serve as a Range Safety Officer will be upgraded to Blue Membership status upon completing NRA Range Safety Officer Training and completing a RSO observation period.
- Blue Level Members will receive a range key and are allowed unlimited daylight access within written range guidelines.
- Approved Blue level Members with instructor ratings and instructor insurance will be allowed to teach classes with a portion of class fee being paid to the club.
- Blue level members have priority for instructor classes and will receive first consideration as paid staff positions are needed.
- Blue Level members will have voting rights for advisory board members.
- Range will not be open to shooting without at minimum one non-shooting RSO on site.
It is the intent to grow the club to the point that active Blue Level members will have their membership fees paid by the club.
On Duty Range Safety Officers will have full authority to eject anyone from the premises for unsafe, aggressive, or unsportsmanlike conduct. Incidents will be reviewed by Advisory board for possible member sanctions for especially unsafe or repeated offenses.
